STEM Career Spotlight: Engineering
Tristan Stahnke, Senior Infrastructure Engineer
I have been with Kforce for 19 years in several different roles. I currently work in IT as an infrastructure engineer.
My job is primarily to act as a bridge for communication and coordination among different IT teams. We work together to make sure that things go well when we launch new systems and applications, and we support IT in taking advantage of new technologies. Our team specifically manages several different software programs that keep Kforce running smoothly, so I’m often the go-to guy when it comes to questions about those as well.
I find the opportunity to learn and stay on top of the latest technology advancements and improvements to be a very exciting part of my job. I’m a bit of a nerd and really enjoy tech outside of work as well, so it’s great to be able to focus on that within my job, too!
I love technology; I’ve been drawn to it my whole life and it inspires me. I think we can use it to our advantage to improve peoples’ lives and working at Kforce is one way I get to do that.
Never stop learning and find what inspires and moves you. STEM has grown and will continue to grow at an explosive rate as technology becomes an unavoidable part of our everyday lives. There are always new opportunities and new things to learn, so if you maintain a desire and love for learning, success will follow.
