Kforce kicks off third annual “Season of Impact” with aid to local communities
The Tampa-based firm is supporting relief for hurricanes Helene and Milton, along with other national causes.
TAMPA, FL (November 2024) – Kforce is proud to continue its third annual Season of Impact, a stewardship initiative encouraging employees to make a difference during the fall and winter months.
The philanthropic effort is an evolution of the firm’s Day of Giving, which started in 2016.
This year, Kforce is placing a special emphasis on aiding those impacted by hurricanes Helene and Milton. The back-to-back storms devastated Tampa Bay, where nearly a third of the firm’s employees live. North Carolina and other parts of the coast also face long recoveries.
In continuation of the long-standing relationship with Feeding Tampa Bay (a Kforce corporate-sponsored charity), the firm will donate 1.6 million meals to address food insecurity in the aftermath of the storm. Local employees will also participate in a “warehouse takeover,” packing meals for the community. Additional donations will be made to MANNA Food Bank in North Caroline, Hope Children’s Home and Fezziwig – a Tampa-based nonprofit offering assistance to charitable organizations and individuals in crisis.
“These donations are one step in an ongoing effort to support our people and our communities,” CEO and President Joe Liberatore said. “We are proud of the culture our leaders and associates have built – one of charity, goodwill and compassion. We look forward to seeing the difference we make together through this year’s Season of Impact.”
The stewardship initiative goes well beyond hurricane recovery. Kforcers across the nation are encouraged to support causes they are passionate about – whether with their time, talent or treasure. In the past, Kforcers have packed hygiene and home supplies for those in need, cared for shelter animals, volunteered at local schools, organized food drives and wrapped holiday gifts.
