Solutions Firm Recognized by Top Workplaces USA
Tampa, FL- March 23, 2021 – Kforce’s dedication to maintaining a strong employee culture earned the firm the inaugural Top Workplaces USA award.
The 2021 award, presented by Energage, is based on employee engagement surveys collected in 2020 – a year defined by the novel coronavirus and the changes it brought to work and home life. Companies everywhere had to rethink how they care for their employees, and Kforce didn’t miss a beat.
Kforce maintained its top workplace distinction in a difficult year by prioritizing relationships, encouraging flexibility and engaging with employees. The company issued four firm-wide culture surveys in 2020, including one asking more than 2,000 associates the basic, but important question: How are you feeling? Executive leadership also hosted several live broadcasts to connect with employees and create a space for vulnerability.
“Everyone’s worlds were turned upside down overnight – childcare was taken away, people were adjusting to sharing workspaces in their homes with roommates and spouses, there was worry over the ability to secure basic necessities,” said Jessica Schwaller, Kforce’s Director of Associate Performance and Development. “The overall fear and uncertainty was stifling. Then our teams did what they do best: supported each other.”
The staffing firm invested further in its employee resources, including virtual counseling and a mobile app for emotional health and well-being. Monthly team building and cultural events helped the Kforce family feel connected to each other despite the isolation of work-from-home life. Those offerings included a costume contest in October and Self-Care September, featuring weekly activities and tips to help employees grow in their mental health
Leadership continues to build on these initiatives and resources to help employees weather the ongoing impact of COVID-19 as its effects stretch into 2021. Kforce is leaning in full-force with technology and a series of pilots designed to improve collaboration, productivity and overall well-being while providing maximum flexibility for the firm’s talented teams.

Several thousand organizations from across the country were invited, and more than 1,100 participated.
